Hi Max,
Unfortunately, you cannot read blocked messages on an iPhone or even on Android. Once you block a number or contact, messages sent during that time are never delivered to your phone, and they are not saved anywhere, and hence cannot retrieved.

Here's what actually happens when you block someone:

Their texts (iMessages or SMS) never appear on your phone.

Apple does not store or log those blocked messages for you to access later.

If you recently unblocked someone:

You’ll start receiving new messages from them.

But messages they sent while blocked won’t be restored.

So, the short answer is, you cannot read the messages sent by someone when he is on your blocklist.
